Our Plans
After the careful review, extensive research, financial considerations, and reflection on the musical and aesthetic qualities desired, the Organ Committee has recommended a full replacement of the current organ with a new pipe organ.
A New Pipe Organ
- A new pipe organ will be the best use of our funds, and an excellent investment that will serve the church and its members – both in beauty and versatility - for many generations.
- It will allow for an efficient design from the ground up for better service and maintenance access and include reliable up-to-date technology.
- It will remedy our secondary issues of sound projection and air conditioning effects on the pipes.
- It will be a hand-made, one-of-a-kind instrument that would be the most pleasing choice aesthetically. And, the most fitting for Calvary’s beautiful Neo-Gothic sanctuary.
- It also will best meet the demands of our congregational and choral accompaniment, as well as organ solo repertoire in worship.
- Additionally, a new pipe organ will allow Calvary to become a well-known organ concert venue (as it has become for piano concerts) – expanding our outreach efforts to the Frederick community and beyond.
