Our Plans for a United Campus
Our plan is to create one unified campus by building our new church and parish hall on the school property. Built on the upward slope, the church will stand as the focal point of our campus. A large parish hall will be our church community’s social center.
Education and Ministry Programming
Educational improvements: our school children will be able to attend Mass in the church and our educational facility will enhance our catechetical programs at every level.
Ministry Programs: all our administrative, educational, social, and ministerial programs will be in one location. This will enable us to enhance and expand all these services.
New Parking Lots
Parking Lot: handicap and regular parking will wrap around the church building. In the long-term, our two existing parking lots will be renovated.
Traffic Flow: traffic flow will be designed for safe and efficient school drop-off and pick-up.
Drop-Off Canopy: the main church entrance drop-off lane will have a canopy for safety in inclement weather.
New Worship Space
Expanded Accessible Seating: seating for 900-1,000 people will include accessible seating in different areas of the church so families can sit together.
Cruciform Layout: the altar will be the focus of our liturgical space, centered on a raised platform at the crossing of the nave and transepts.
Devotional Chapels: each transept will end in a small devotional chapel and artwork niches will be along the walls.
Reservation Chapel: the tabernacle will be reverentially placed in a high position where it will be visible from the entire nave and to those in who come to the chapel for quiet prayer.
Baptismal Font: a permanent basin of “living water” will be included inside our worship space.
Choir Area: space to the right of the altar will serve our musicians as well as provide overflow seating for services.
Sacristy and Liturgical Storage: both a working sacristy and liturgical storage will be located behind the altar.
Accessibility: our entryways, doors, seating, sanctuary platform, and restrooms will be ADA compliant.
New Gathering Space (Narthex)
Community Common Area: This space will provide room for our members and guests to gather and socialize before and after Masses.
Entryway and Processional Doors: the main entryway will invite everyone into a large welcoming gathering space with formal processional doors into the church nave.
Auxiliary Rooms:
- Multi-purpose room/bridal/parlor
- Multi-stall restrooms and a family restroom
- Cry room for families with young children to view Mass
- Sacraments of Reconciliation Chapel
- Liturgical storage
- Lay minister and altar server robing room
- Usher's room
- Clergy vesting sacristy
- Mechanical room
Multi-Use Parish Hall
This invaluable parish social space, double the size of our current hall, will be equipped to serve small meetings to large receptions.
Flexible Space: wall partitions will enable us to have up to four meeting rooms and space for a nursery.
Common Lobby: Parishioners and visitors will be able to enter the hall from the church or the parking lot.
Commercial Kitchen: conveniently located, the commercially equipped kitchen will allow food service for meetings and events of all sizes.
Storage: room to store tables, chairs and other items will be included.
Restrooms: multi-stall, ADA compliant restrooms are planned.
Sale of Our Current Church Property
Proceeds will be used for:
- Architect fees.
- Liturgical design and acoustical consultants.
- Fundraising consultants and other professionals.
- Furniture and fixtures.
