Debt Reduction

As a result of the generous support of our members, God has blessed us with a spacious and impressive place to worship, learn, and serve. As we continue to strive to be good stewards of our building and grounds, we need to face the current status of our debt. 

• Despite significant progress in reducing our debt, we still pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to service our debt each year.
• Thus far, we do not use annual operating budget funds to pay any interest, which is a practice that has yielded less debt principal impact than we would have hoped at this point.
• The annual payments we are making with previous campaign pledges, while impactful, does not put the end of our debt in reachable sight. 

Capital Improvements

Youth Restrooms

Our growing youth program is thriving in its upstairs space where our youth worship, learn, and build meaningful relationships. However, this floor has no restrooms, which is inconvenient, raises safety and security concerns, and is a significant challenge to abiding by our Ministry Safe guidelines.

• The 2009 construction plans included restroom space and basic plumbing but that area was not completed due to funding reasons.
• Ministry Safe Guidelines do not allow youth to leave the upstairs
  area unaccompanied to use the
  first-floor restrooms.
• Ministry Safe Guidelines also require two adults to accompany youth, creating challenges in having the appropriate number of chaperones to escort students to the restrooms and to remain upstairs with other youth.
• Restroom accessibility via the elevator is inconvenient for those with mobility challenges.
• When used by external groups, the space’s current setup does not provide the hospitable environment we wish to offer.
