INFRASTRUCTURE
- Replace Ridge Cap & Repair Slate Roof – The church roof’s ridge cap and damaged slate shingles will be replaced.
- Replace Sanctuary’s Heating System & Add Air Conditioning – We will install a heat pump system to provide more cost- and energy-efficient heating and cooling. This is an important opportunity to convert our infrastructure from natural gas to electricity, choose renewable energy sources, and model more sustainable operations. If we can raise enough money, we hope to use ground-source heat pump technology, which is more environmentally friendly than air source heat pumps.
- Upgrade Energy Envelope – We will assess the sanctuary, Clark Hall, and the chapel to improve insulation and make any necessary window upgrades.
SANCTUARY
- Extend & Enlarge Chancel Platform – The chancel platform will be lowered and enlarged toward the congregation to improve its accessibility, visibility, and size. This will comfortably accommodate more people, especially our musicians, and improve connectedness to our gathered community to create a more intimate, vibrant, and participatory worship experience.
- Improve Chancel Accessibility – Besides reducing the number of steps to the chancel platform, a new accessibility ramp will make this area easier to reach for people with mobility issues and bring our church up to current accessibility building codes.
- Upgrade Lighting & Ceiling Fans – A cost- and energy-efficient lighting system and new ceiling fans will be installed. Also, the light fixtures will be moved to make bulb replacement easier and safer.
- New Projection Screens – Two new, permanent screens on either side of the chancel and new screens for those seated in the chancel and balcony will be installed. Being able to show everyone in the sanctuary images, text, scripture, and song lyrics will engage people more and enhance service participation.
- New TV Cameras – The sanctuary’s three remote cameras will be replaced with four newer model cameras. One will face our balcony and the back of the sanctuary so that all areas of the church can be captured for our online viewers.
- Upgrade Sound System – A new sound system will improve sanctuary speakers' and musicians' sound clarity, and we plan to upgrade our hearing assistance system.
- Interior Refreshing – Repainted walls, refinished floors, new carpeting, and a thorough cleaning will totally refresh and revitalize our worship space.
CLARK HALL
- Add Air Conditioning – Air conditioning for Clark Hall will be added through heat pump technology. This will make it comfortable to use as our worship area during the sanctuary’s and chapel’s remodeling, and make this space more appealing for other uses and rentals.
- New Lighting & Ceiling Fans – A new, more cost- and energy-efficient lighting system will be installed and the ceiling fans will be replaced.
- New TV Camera System – A new camera system will be installed to improve streaming and recording hall activities. This, in turn, will increase the room’s multipurpose usability and rentability.
- Update Sound System – A new sound system will improve worship and event sound quality and clarity, and increase the room’s usability and rentability.
- General Refreshing – Like our sanctuary, Clark Hall will undergo a thorough refresh.
CHAPEL
- Improve Acoustics – To improve the room's acoustics, the ceiling will be modified and a new sound system installed that will help everyone to better hear speakers and singers.
- Improve Lighting – We will upgrade the lighting system and increase the natural light in the chapel. This will significantly brighten up the room and make it more appealing for different uses and inviting to the community.
- Increase Usable Space – Removing the non-load bearing faux columns will open the floor area and provide an unobstructed view of the chancel. Also lowering the chancel to the level of the rest of the space will make the room flexible for both worship and small group meetings.
- Add Streaming Capabilities – New wiring connected to the TV Studio that accepts cameras will allow us to stream and record Chapel services and other activities.
