Our Plans
We have an achievable plan that will allow St. Dominic’s Catholic community to grow by meeting our need for fellowship, youth, classroom, storage, and office space. This long-range plan will be implemented in three phases:
Phase I | Construct a large new multi-use parish hall |
Phase II | Build a connection between the new hall and church including classrooms |
Phase III.... | Build a new Parish Office Complex |
Phase I
Carmody Hall, $2.5 million*
- Parish hall, entry vestibule, restrooms, a food pantry with dry, refrigerated, and freezer storage, general church storage, and youth room
- Infrastructure for the Parish Hall and Parish Office Complexes including sewer, water, electric, and gas to be brought in from the highway.
Carmody Hall Rental Income
When completed, Carmody Hall is expected to bring in an estimated $25,000 per month in meeting and reception rental income. We plan to put these funds towards completion of our Phase II and III plans. The estimated income is based on comparable area rentals.
Phase II
Complete Parish Hall and Classroom Complex
$3.6 million*
- Completion of the parish hall connection to the church.
- 10-12 classrooms
- Multipurpose rooms
- Landscaping for a plaza with a reflection fountain, benches, trees, and grass
Phase III
Parish Office Complex
$5 million*
- Approximately 12 offices
- Greeting and receptionist area
- Six cubicles
- Two conference rooms
- Break room with a small kitchen and restrooms
- A new parish hall and office complex parking lot
- Office complex furnishings
- Basement storage area
Diocesan Support, $630,000*
Returning God’s Gifts Appeal
The diocese’s appeal supports a variety of ministries from our seminarians and deacons to thousands of people seeking help with food, clothing, and shelter, or better understanding their faith.
Building for the Future of His Church Capital Campaign
The diocese’s capital campaign addresses investing in our children so they remain in the Church, building up our youth so they become faithful disciples, and, as they grow in discipleship, having room to support their growth. The diocese plans include:
- Building a College Campus Center (Newman Center) at the fast growing UCCS campus.
- Building two impactful endowments for our Catholic school youth and for our Youth-in-Parish programs.
- Restoring and renewing our diocesan cathedral, St. Mary’s.
These three projects will have a strong impact on our future Central Colorado Diocesan family. Now is the time to boldly trust in God’s providence.
